Default Air gap &SCT

I am really debating ordering a Hughes Airgap, and a SCT tuner, but I dont really know what to expect.

Is it really worth it? What can i expect from both add ons here. The poor 5.2 hardly moves the truck as it is. Am i just throwing money at a problem that is better left alone. It is a lot of money, and prolly going to be 2 weeks of pay for me. But if it is really worth it, I will spend it.

Just looking for some feedback from those of you that have done the mods, and what you think

My humble opinion,

With the modifications you've listed, don't order the air gap. You can cut the runners back on the kegger for a modest gain for free provided you have the tools.

The tuner is good, and re-gearing will really help that 5.2 get moving.

Save your cheese for 2 sets of gears and the install cost.

The truck has free flowing exhaust, punched out cat. I have a MSD box and coil that will be going in it soon too, Id just like to get it all done at once.

Do you really need heads n a cam to see a difference with the intake?

What if i was to also go with 1.7 roller rockers at the same time? I'm going to have this beast for another 2 years, before i get my diesel, then the truck is going to be driven rarely out in the dunes and what not, im just looking for some more power outa the old dodger

get the sct. more power to be had with a good tune.i have the airgap and it was the last thing that i did. there was a gain there but there was more of a gain from the butt dyno with the superchip 3815. i will be going with the sct in the future but i want to get my cam and heads first.

and gears are 599$ front and rear off of moes performance.+ cost of install. one of my future mods.

i would def start out with a tuner of somesort, these dodges are really de-tuned from the factory.

1.7 i would do next and then the airgap. then do gears

3.55 really arnt that bad unless you have tires bigger than 31s
