ok so my buddy has a 3rd gen , but can u take the heads off without takin apart the rockers and push rods, so that u can replace the head gasket?thanks

You can..... but, it certainly makes it challenging to put it back together. Best bet is to pull the rockers, and pushrods, THEN yank the head. Pay attention to where they go though.

what if u just mark it, and get it all back in the same holes like it was before? your not adjusting anything different, should still be on the same cam lobes at the same measurements right?

That would work, just wanna make sure it goes back together, the same way you took it apart, as far as part positioning is concerned.
