The flexplate doesn't look cracked...at all. I'm going to be working on it today anyway. I'll take all the bolts off. And see if I can't get them all started then tightened down, but I need to find a bolt. Kinda hard to do that if the bolts are being used. Anyone have an idea what size they are? Maybe i'll try a yard today and see how much they'll charge me for a flexplate as well

Well called my tranny shop and they quoted me around $450 labor included. I'm done messing with it lol. There's only just so much a man can do with the tools he has, and patience. And I don't have either lol.

Update: truck is fixed and running good. Apparently, the wrong flexplate was installed by whoever replaced the engine before, and it's always had a wrong one. So that's probably why the previous tranny went. Only negative thing is it took a little longer to do ( I was expecting it anyway) and it came out to $670...quite the price tag, but for me is kinda worth paying for not having to do it. Lol thanks for all the help guys.

I hate hearing that you got soaked for that kind of cash because some putz put the wrong part it, but I'm glad to hear it's fixed!

Thanks for the follow-up. I'd been wondering how your adventure turned out.
