Default 95 vs 99 2500

ok now that the brakes are good got another question for you guys. i curently am driving a 99 2500 quad short box 4x4 with a 5.9 gas. this thing is way slower on aceleration compared to my old 95 2500 reg cab 5.9. same gears same drive train. is it just the weight difrence? or something else? truck has 85000 on it and runs great with a fresh tune up. plenty of pulling power when towing but almost imposible to spin the tires( without brake stand on dry pavment). any ideas?

Have you checked your plenum gasket?

Also, check on your PCM, and see if there is a sticker for a software update.......

Pull the air cleaner off, and look down the throttle body. (flashlight required...) See any oil? Need to pull the intake.

What size tires? 3.55 gears?
