Drove through high water and trans warning light came on
Had some heavy rain fall here today and I crossed a flooded intersection that had about 2 ft of water. I got through the water and my trans temp light and warning dinger came on. Stayed on about 5 min and then went out. No other problems though. H20 in a wiring connecter maybe? Any one else ever encounter this maybe while wheeling in water?
i only drove 8 miles exactly, then i figured to check the trans, and it was to late. From my understanding, the glue that holds the kevlar to the bands is water based. Meaning once water gets in, its time for a rebuild. Correct me if I am wrong, that is just what I heard
I didnt have the trans light come on but I have had a cell for a tranny connector that was related to getting water in the connections the next day it ran like a champ and havent had much problems related to that since.
My light came on after going about 35-40 through multiple puddles ranging from 1-2 foot deep, it was a dirt road maybe 1 mile long with about 20 or more puddles, I was trying to get a friend home on time, also got a misfire from all the water, my fluid was fine only times I have heard of problems is people going through stuff about 3 feet deep and going through it slow or stopping
If no water in fluid I would say f-it and keep driving, but if you want expert advice drop a question in Montecs corner

The fluid looks good. It looks brand new. I just hate idiot lights, once they come on its usually too late. My paranoia just kicked in when the light came on. Thanks again fellas.
