Unhappy 94 ram 1500 oil pan

I have to change out main bearings on a 318 and was wondering if I have to lift the motor to get the oil pan off.
I am planning on changing both the mains and con rod bearings as I loose oil pressure after running engine for 20 to 30 minutes.
Any suggestions would be very helpful.

not sure about 2wd, but on 4wd, the pan will slide out the rear with no problem.

i was unable to disengage the oil pan from the flex plate cover w/o removing the stupid starter and cover. maybe you can.

change the rear mail seal while you have it apart. very easy.
replace oil pump while at it also.
post pictures. we really like pics.

are you sure your oil pressure is not sending unit, or pump, or overall engine wear?
let us know how this goes and what the result is

Yup, losing some oil pressure when warm is a very common problem on this site. Seems to be a new post every couple days on this topic. I know my guage fluctuates with rpm when warm too. It never use to, but that began around 125,000 miles. I too would like to know what the magic mix is. Keep us posted. Good luck.
