Default Adjusting Steering Limit

I recently just got new tires for my truck, 285/75R16, and now the the driver side tire will rub when turned completely to the left. Is there anything that i can do to change the limit of how far I can turn?

Don't turn the wheel so far. That's really about it.

If its rubbing the bumper, trim the plastic back or reshape it. If it's rubbing on the fender liner, live with it or build new arms.

i was thinking there's a stop there somewhere. anti*, you got a 2wd or 4wd? turn it all the way till it hits and see if there's not something around the knuckle or control arm or something. (or a place to weld on a stop)

I've got a 4wd. I guess I might just have to live with it then. It seems odd to me how the drivers side will rub but the passenger side won't.

I have the same problem. When I bought my 1999 4WD two years ago it had 15 inch mudders-33 x 12.50. No problem with rubbing. I didn't like them and replaced them with factory 16 inch wheels and 10 ply 265 x 75's. 245's are stock according to the door post and I wanted a little extra cargo capacity. Now when I turn sharp to the left I get rubbing on the left tire. It is hitting the frame. I found this just after having the front end aligned. I had some question about a little bit of play and I didn't want to ruin $800 new tires. The day after that I was leaving work and turned hard coming out of parking and heard the rub. I took it back to the alignment shop and they ID'd the problem as the rub but did not offer any other suggestion or comments.

It seems that there is something to this left side rubbing. It is likely that I could use some new bushings in there at 165000 but it is odd that the new tires rubbed when the larger ones didn't.

I looked for a stop but didn't see one so maybe that's the problem.

I run 285's on my stock rims and I also rub when hard left turns. I don't think there's much you can do about it. I just try and avoid turning it that hard.

You have a 2" lift. The slight difference has pushed your axle to the side a bit. That's one reason why it would rub on just one side. The track bar keeps it centered. When the axle goes up or goes down it moves slightly from side to side.

On my 4x '95 the steering stops have a tack weld on them.
