That makes me want to call complete offroad and see where their house brand comes from. The guy told me the other day that they are the same quality as the Yukon gears but they are cheaper because they don't have Yukon on the box.

When are you going to the outer banks again? I'll have to try to talk you into loading your truck up with a bunch of clays for me since you get them for free.
I would join you but one guy on here told me that the BFG A/T tread pattern is worthless in sand.

I used to have an "in" for clays. $5 a case from a buddy who had a pawn shop that specialized in guns. But he sold the place and I gotta do the Wally World thing for 'em now. Could always get ammo or have him use his FFL for guns too at his cost.

I about cried when he sold the place...

Umm I'm looking at going down for a few days in oct after we get back from a camping trip to gettysburg. Would be taking off and wens and be down there till sunday lol. It really depends on which location your at for driving on the beach. There was one spot (sugar sand) that I just sank. Hit it at 20ish and I might as well had hit a dam snow bank. Up in frisco across from frisco rod and gun the sand there is good and tight. You don't need 4 low to go threw there and you can run 2wd on the beach all day long. There is also a free air station at the store frisco rod and gun. All of this driving was done with my general's.

My "in" for clays is I go pick up all the ones they miss and gezz wizz they miss more than me! Right now we have 6 6 gallon buckets stacked to the top 4 stacker per bucket and 3 empty whine cases with 6 rows per box.

Hammer, I would be heartbroken too in that situation. Especially with the price of ammo these days.

Max, when I go to Oklahoma I get into that super fine sand when I drive from the back of my grandfathers house to the barn and I get the tires moving pretty good just to get up that hill. Then When I get to the top there are no ruts because it's so soft. So yeah, packed or none for me with these tires. I've never aired down though so they might do ok.

You have those clays out of the sun right? Those things warp pretty good when they sit in the sun then they don't fly right (if they don't just explode in the launcher).

We have shot some clays that have been sitting out there for weeks and they fly ok it adds a challange to it which is fun, every now and than we have one that blows up but its free. We have tons of clays and no one pics them up there so we are more than happy to pick them on up and reuse them as many times as it takes. Hell we have put half broke ones threw the launcher and shot them.

I never aired down unless it was bad and I never went back to the bad spot.

If people would only listen when I say buy Yukon.

So if you are going re-gear again, what are you going to do?

Just yukon rear.

The shop also told me that the rear that was in my truck looked like it was the 2nd rear so I really have had 3 rears in my truck.

Does "standard" by any chance mean straight cut rather than helical? If so, then whining is perfectly normal. At least it was back when I was building street racers in the previous century before gasoline hit a buck a gallon...
