The night before the gears go in... UPDATED
They said bring it back and there gonna take a look. I'm pretty sure at this point I need new gears for the rear. The must be some pattern on them by now.
I really hate all the play in the rear. There is so much there that when I put it in park it feels like the truck is still in gear.

It sounds like it to me. I would go out and see how much play is in mine, but I'm in Georgia this week with the Jeep and the truck is 6 hours away. I'll be back in Florida on Friday and intend to get my fat a$$ underneath, but I did the diff oils about 5 months ago and checked everything quite well, especially around the crush sleeve just for any signs of leaks or anything and I think I woulda noticed that much play.
Ok well report back with what you find. Enjoy your trip.
Going to be taking the truck BACK to the gear shop tonight. When I go to get it if there is still a whine I'm taking it right back and saying you really need to fix this and give the keys right back to them. Or they can give me a refund. The ball is in there court now. I'm sticking to my guns I'm not going to get bent over for 730.98 bucks.
And the ****ed up part with this is the only thing I'm doing is making fun of it or else I might lose my cool.

Enjoy my trip! Hah!
I'm planting for Dove season, it's 99* here right now with a heat index of 113*!!!
Dry as a bone and the dust from plowing rows turns into mud when it hits my sweaty a$$! Better be a hell of a good dove season come September!!!

Keep me posted on your "adventures" with the gear installer...

Dropped it off today and they said that the play in the rear is normal. They claim that sometimes its event more play than 1/4 of a turn. I need to call detroit and see what they say.
I'm looking at cross bows so we can bag a deer this year.

Never shot a cross bow and it's been prolly about 15 years since I took one with a bow. I usually get out for black powder though.
I love dove season though. I dunno what it is, maybe cause it's the first season to come up, maybe cause them little buggers are hard to hit, but I get up big time for dove season!!!

I just shot trap when we bring out the guns. I normal do 300-400 rounds.
I do have some old photos of me and the k 47 with the 75 round drum mag on fully loaded (we have 2 of them. Dam thing was so heavy and I was so small I couldn't pick it up. Had to keep it on the table and fire away, we shot threw so many rounds that day the clear coat started to buble on top of the gun. That day was fun I think I was 12 at the time. I need to brake out the shot gun agin and go blow up some birds. We get them for free.
This is the deer we had in our back yard this past winter
darn things ate all the flows this year so there over do for a nipping. It was eating the buds off a wild azalea. Only about 20ft from the back door and there was 3 people watching it eat the dam thing and a hopping mad yellow lab.
