leaf spring question?
I have a 2000 ram 1500 4x4 and wonder if 2500 or 3500 rear leafs will fit? i dont do a lot of towing, but when i do i dont want it squatting too much. also to those of you who have read my last couple posts i still havent fixed the abs light problem. as i said before i had the truck painted a month or so ago and they only removed the hood and bed. when i got it back the radio had a lot of alternator interference noise. any ideas as to where my loose ground is? ive replaced every speed sensor etc. there is, and have decided that it HAS to be a bad ground.
2500 or 3500 springs will not fit without some modifications, as they are wider springs. 1500s had 2.5" springs, the 2500 and up had 3" springs, IIRC.
Not saying it can't be done, because it has been, but you'll have to modify/replace how your springs are mounted.

I have air bags in the rear to level it out when towing, works well & the ride is smooth. Not sure how much it cost to install, came with the truck when I bought it used. Sure is a nice option though.
