just an update on my truck and the ongoing drama that started while on vacation. i went to o'reilly and got another vss for the rear diff. yesterday. installed it this morning and reset the pcm. took it for a drive and low and behold the lights went out and my speedo works again! must have been a bad sensor. THATS the good news. the BAD news is my darned cruise still isnt working. but i think the culprit is a bad neutral safety switch. any ideas? i installed one last week, and it was the second one thats been in there in two or three weeks. the first one made my reverse lights stay on all the time, and THIS one wont let them come on at all. am i doing something wrong? any and all advise will be greatly appreciated.

 

have u tired getting a sensor from the dealership?

 

no, i just figured they were too expensive, but i may have to. seems like i keep getting bad ones at part stores.
