Default OEM Off-road wheels on 2WD - Center Cap Interference

Has anyone put OEM off-road wheels (see pic) on a 2WD? If so, how did you overcome the spindle interference on the front wheels?

My spindle/grease cup sticks out past the center cap of the wheel, so I had to remove the wheel center cap and taper the rotor hub so the offroad wheels would fit.

You could just get a 4x4 for the rims

I got them to work, by slightly tapering the hub.

You can use low profile chevy bearing dust caps. They have a dome shape and are polished. I don't know the correct part number off the top of my head but I saw it on another forum and you can pick them up at Advanced Auto or Autozone. A lot of the 2WD guys that put 3rd gen 20's on use them. Might be worth looking into.

Thanks for the low profile tip. I also may shave 1/2" off my spindle as it is not needed anyway.
