Default water on the floorboard

ok, i have a 95 ram 1500 5.9L. When i run the A/C the passenger side carpet underneath the rubber floor mat gets wet. not soaking wet, but wet. it smells like water, no antifreeze. now, i checked the drain under the hood, and replaced the rubber elbow on it, but i still have this problem. i have cranked the heat for 10mins, no smell of antifreeze, no change in my coolant level under the hood. is there something else i should check? i dont want my floorboards rusting out...its a nice truck

Make sure the drain is clear. Poke something in there, but, not very hard...... might just be plugged up.

Mine would get wet all the time when it rained(passenger side floorboard). After alot of reading took the third brake light off and put a small bead of sealant to seal it to the roof and have not had the problem since.. Worth a shot..

I had this problem also. I replaced the elbow with about 12" of hose so the water now drips strait on the ground and not all over the firewall and suspension. My thinking was that the foam washer between the box and inner firewall was shot and wind turbulence while driving blew the water in past the hole in the firewall even with the short little elbow. no problems ever since. even if your heater core is leaking, ( which would need to be addressed ) it should still drain out of the elbow.
