Default 96 1500 4x4 Steering Stabilizer

How in the world does the factory steering stabilizer come off the tie rod? I have tried everything to get it off and it wont come out of the tie rod.

Any help would be great!

Yea, my factory one is shot. I think it is the original to the truck. When I was trying to get it off last night, it was pouring liquid all over the place.

I picked up a factory replacement Gabriel shock for it. It is about twice the size in diameter as the factory shock and the same specs as the Rancho I was looking at.

I will try a pitman arm puller tonight and see how that works.

Yea I had to rent a puller kit for it, although I dont know which kind of puller I used because I left my brother to do while I made a quick run to wally world. Something in the advanced auto parts puller kit should do it. I think it was a pitman arm puller.

Don't hammer on it or use a pickle fork. Go rent the puller. Do it right, you're old girl will thank you for the nice treatment. There is a DIY on this by the way.
