I am re-assembling my valve body and have a question. It appears there 13 screws used to hold the three sections together, 12 of them are 2" long and one of them is 2.5" long, I am trying to figure out where the longer screw goes. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Check the FAQ section, for J415's transmission thread, there are links in there to articles written for DIY trans rebuilds, should find the information you want in one of them.

Thanks HeyYoy, I went thru each of those builds, none of them shows where the longer screw goes, one of them mentions the longer screw but does not point out where it goes.

 

I seem to remember a pic of just where the long bolts went, but, for the life of me, I just can't seem to come up with it now.........
