Sounds good. Didnt get a chance to check the plugs was at work late last night then went to the bar, didnt get out until 11 tonight so I'll try cleaning the tb and iac tomorrow and see what that does. I'll also check the plugs and see what that leads to. My stratus did this back in the day and it ended up being a cracked dizzy cap. Its only got 134,xxx on it and just had a recent tune up.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem, with high and low idles and a huge surge of rpms' on start up, it seems to do it more when cold, although its tough to tell. Reading a few things on here seems that the TPS is a good thing to start with.

well got some time today to get under the hood and check it out.. Cleaned the tb cleaned up tps and noticed a little bit of oil build up on the bottom of my intake manifold. Guessing those gaskets are shot causing all this. Fun stuff. How much $ and time and I looking at on this?

Only about $50 bucks tops and a day if you DIY,

$500-600 easy if you're paying to have it done.

Isn't there a DIY on it in our section? I think I remember reading up on it back when I joined a while ago

I just did my plenum and the truck still does the surge at idle. I'd doubt plenum would change it any if at all. This problem isn't a "ghost" but a problem that we can't crank our trucks up and leave them running without them going into the rough surging idle.
