Get whatever oil you want...JUST ADD LUCAS OIL STABILIZER. THat stuff is the best. It has anti foam in it so you won't get that caked on sludge (Caused by the foam sticking to parts and BURNING onto them).

I should have taken a CLOSEUP picture of my valvesprings when I did my 1.7s. They are PRISTINE. ANd that truck has been running mobil 1 or some synthetic for its life. I use 1 QT of lucas oil additive and that helps your engine a lot. Engine restore is not good, do not use that.

Here is a pic of the valvesprings and valvetrain assembly. Look closely and you will see how clean they are.

Those heads look bone dry, like they have never been run and gotten oil up in them.
Just my observation.

I personnally have used Lucas alot in a few of my vehicles in the past, I do remember reading something on another forum that wasn't to pleasing. I havn't used it in my Dodge since I have had it. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/images/lucas/lucas.htm

I've read somewhere that the only difference bteween high-mileage oils and all the others is that H-M oil has "seal-swelling" additives to prevent/cure oil leaks. I don't see a need for it.

They used to say that about STP also but I used for years and as long you added it to a warm idling engine as per directions it mixed thoroughly.
