ground strap help

Default ground strap help

i need help. can someone thats owns(knows) a '97 5.9L 1500 check to see where the firewall ground straps go? i know one goes to the back of the passenger side head and i thought the other went to the ALT. but man it gets hot real fast. if anyone can post a diagram that would be awsome too! thanks guys

i do believe that is it. that answers that question thanks. do you by chance know where the - wire coming from the fuse box goes?

There are a lot of wires coming from the fuse box. Which one, and which fuse box (the one in the cab or the one under the hood)?

oh wow, my bad..the main under the hood and the i have two primary wires that exit the box a power and negative.

Well its a red wire, that connects to your positive lead battery terminal.

Oops forgot about your ground wire - goes obviously to your negative terminal on your battery (:

or you can ground it out to the block like it shows in the diagram as well hope we helped!
