transmission swap ?

Default transmission swap ?

i have a nv3500 5 speed in my truck and its shot and i cant seem to find another one but did find a nv4500 out of a 5.9 (gas) 2500 would that bolt in and work in my 5.2 or does absolutely have to be a nv3500?

I believe it will work, others will chime in on this. You might want to shoot MonteC a PM. Good find for the nv4500 none the less!

i think it would to because i don't believe the bell housings would be different or anything and itd the clutch and flywheel would be different even if i have to switch the transfer case with it i think i would be well worth it
but if anyone has any ideas or has did this before let me no cause i would like to make the swap asap

it bolts right in just make sure you get the shifter with it...

Before you do anything, do some research, and page our transmission expert MontecC, knows anything and everything inside and out of a transmission. He will tell you, and maybe reflect some of his knowledge to you for future references
