Default Max tire size i can put on a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport 4x2?

Well I just bought my first truck, a stock 1998 Ram sport 4x2. Great truck but I'm going to put a leveling kit on, with that in mind, whats max tire size I can put on it without having to worry about "rubbing"?

First, you have a 4x2. 2x4 is a piece of wood.

I believe JRob238 is correct, you might be able to fit 285/75R16 tires (32.8, if I remember right) with a leveling kit in the front. Otherwise you'll be limited to 265/75R16.

I'd say you would be fine with 31's. If you have any rubbing just turn your bumpstops out a little it will keep them from rubbing at full lock.

I have a 2WD with a 2" leveling kit and I am running 285/70/17 (33" x 11.5") with no rub at all. but I do have OEM off-road rims instead of the original crap.
