Just had the trans rebuilt. 1996 ram 1500 5.2 2WD. Couple issues... First, it shifts into 2nd around 15-20 mph but then won't go to third til almost 50 mph or over (unless I feather the throttle, which I shouldn't have to do) Secondly, it seems worse when the weather's hotter. Took it back to the rebuilder, he adjusted the throttle valve cable on the engine, but it's still happening. Any other ideas? Or tv cable adjustment still the answer?Thanks!

 

As far as I know, my tranny is original and it acts similar to this. It seems to hesitate shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd unless I'm really light on the gas. Shifting into third is the worst though. I'd be curious if there's a reason to this as well.
