Default lifting my truck

i want to lift my truck by putting 2500 coils under my the front of my 1500......does any one know if i have to get shocks that are made for a 2 inch or 3 inch lift with them?...also will the 2500 leaf springs fit under the rear and if so will i have to get longer shocks for that as well?

yes, you'll need new shocks front and rear... I did the 3" lift shock on the front, and left the rears stock and they are bottoming out. I still need to swap mine.

the 2500 coils gave me about 2 1/2" of lift so if you want to level your truck out, put in 1" blocks in the back and you should be close. you may be able to get away without the new shocks in the rear if you do the 1" block...

I think the 2500 rear leafs are wide than the 1500's... you should check before buying...

Are you implying to add an additional 1" block on top of the stock block? I have read that this is very dangerous, and that if you need to change your block height, you are supposed to buy a single block that is bigger by the height needed, not stack blocks.
I've never done either, so I don't know for sure. Just what I have read in other forums and off-road magazines.

ya know... I didnt put mine in so I cant say for sure if it's a 2" block or 2" oversized block. But I do know like you said, it should be 1 block. you can have them custom made for driveshaft angles on large lifts. for more search over on pavementsucks.com.
