electric fan conversion
Efans were good addition (2750cfm/19amp flexilites since 01)
More space to work under hood is great
Small city mpg gain, these days any is good
Small gain off the line, nothing after that

i have two 16 inch fans coming, 2750 cfm each, i have already installed the control module with temp probe. i am alse going to make a shroud out of fiberglass to guarantee stout air flow for the diesel. i was supposed to get the fans on friday but my entire ups order got delayed till monday.
it is def a mod worth doing, there is no down side to the project at all.
the curved blade fans are the way to go, they create more air flow with lower voltage consumption.
my primary reason for doing it is because it is 100 degrees every day here now, and i want my ac to work better. everything else is just a bonus.

what brand did you get?
hey guys
I finished installing my new FFD fans yesterday. Had to cut up my fan shroud to remount my rad overflow bottle & the windshield washer res.
But it all went real amooth. About the concerns of the zip ties, my FFD
fans came with bend tabs at the top these do all the supporting, the zip ties just keep the fans from bouncing. I do think when installing in a vehical that never was meant for electric fans, its best to go with a system that has all the controls, no matter the cost. thanks to RamSport97 for your suggestion.

PRO-67016 FAN ELECTRIC 16" UNIVERSAL 65.95
PRO-67014 PROFORM 14" FAN 65.95
SUM-890014 DUAL FAN RELAY 69.95
I see some people running 2 16" fans but 2 16's wouldn't fit on mine. I had to do a 16 and a 14.
You'll have to wire up an additional relay for the ac or figure another way to make them kick on with you turn it on. The summit relay kit the temp sensor is in the coolant which is better then the ones you just shove in the rad fins
I will try to put pic's later. As far as a p/n FFD asked for your towing wt. , engine, train, & zip code. With all the info they build the fans to suit. I plan to tow less than 10,000lbs & I live in Ca. central valley where the temp. can exceed 100+ so my fans cost higher than a standard set. bottom line everybodies different. My set is a 16" &14" but FFD comes with all the relays including the A/C connection, but the service is not free.
