Default msd coil

anyone have a part number for a replacement coil that fits in stock location, not the blaster series. I saw a picture of a truck with one in it, and I cannot find it on summit.

You looking for a stock replacement, or a performance replacement that fits in the stock location?

EDIT: Nevermind, reread the title instead of just the first post.

you will need the adapter because the connection is not the same (changed it in 1998). Or you can cut the connector off a 1997 or earlier dodge ram at a junkyard. I did that.

Higher output coils are going to have a higher tendency for crossfiring. Having a GOOD set of wires is a requirement.
