transmission prob?

when i drive i can get going to 60 but then the cheack engine light starts blinking and cant go over 40 does any one know what the prob is its a 1999 ram 2500 4x4 5.9 l magnum

I'm thinking you have a clogged Catalytic Converter. Shake it and see if it rattles.
