Will not cause a CEL, use them on my 96 as well.
Direct fit is 207 & includes a better ypipe setup that replaces the very restrictive stock ypipe arrangement

you can buy just the cat for like 80 bucks is what i meant, but the link rm_indy provided is much better because it comes with new pipes and not a restrictive y-pipe, that link is for not true duals cat, expect a gain of mpg if you can keep your foot of it
It's a single-out arrangement. I've got one in a box now just waiting to be installed. It even comes with a blocking bolt if you should want to ditch the post-cat oxygen sensor for some silly reason.
As mentioned thats for a single exhaust.
When I added the first h/f had Eddy hdrs, ypipe & a catback as well as K&N 14" & 3pc u/d pulleys with stock 5.9.
Saw .32 off my avg ets from just the cat (dual in/single 3" out).
When the oem cat started to plug the truck slowed, before/after difference was over .4 sec.
One of the largest gains I got from track testing individual bolt ons while retaining a bone stock 5.9.
