The round disk in the vacuum line just before it does a 90º into the manifold is the check valve.

I didn't even know there was a check valve there. I checked the one by the firewall on the passenger side. I will have to check that one when I get home.
A lot of people miss that one.
Mine was stopped up with oil.
I could blow through it both ways but it was restricted.
It shouldn't take hardly any air pressure to make the valve close.

That one could be my issue then. I will check that sucker later today and see if its busted. I hope it is, the wild vents is irritating when its hot out.
When I pulled the intake on mine to do the plenum I noticed how much oil was being pulled out of the intake from the pcv and thru the check valve on the intake. That's the one that went first on my truck. If you go to O'reilly's, make sure you buy the multipack pieces of vaccum connectors. The assorted sized rubber ones. Otherwise the smaller check valves wont fit our stock lines.
That's why I got mine from the dealer. The parts store check valves (I didn't look at Napa) have one side that is the right size and the other side is too small.
Thats true sherriff, but the 7.50 a piece at the dealer offset the other 4 bucks I spent on the adapters. haha Plus I would've had to drive 20 miles to the nearest dealer.
