Default A few newb questions...

I've searched all over the internet...

How in the WORLD do I use my trip odometer? I can switch it from Miles to Kilometers but can't figure out how to actually use it. I put the thing on the screen for it. Drove alllllll the way home from work today hoping that was all I needed to do and it still read 0.0.

Also, besides the mods that are done to my truck (open exhaust from Cat-back, Superchips) any cheap suggestions that someone with VERY limited vehicle experience could do?

Thanks in advance!!!

Thats funny you can select between miles & kilometers.
On my 99 HD just press the button, hold it & release it to reset

U/D crank pulley is easy.
14x3" open K&N filter setup another easy one.
Getting a h/f cat is real easy if you let the muff shop do it lol

Hmm.. Yea, I press the U/M button on the left and it goes from Miles to kilometers. Press the step button and it goes to the MPG screen. Mine must be broken or something. It wouldn't surprise me. Which button do you press to clear it? Maybe mine maxed out on the miles or something? I don't know it's irritating. Lol.

Gonna look into that stuff, don't know about the cat, mine's almost brand new, because when my fiancee decided to cut the exhaust off, the old one clogged up and we needed this one since he's decided to run without mufflers. Or at least that's what I've been told.

Thanks.

all you have to do to reset the trip meter is hold down both buttons for a few seconds... that should do it for you...

Thank you.

I haven't tried that yet. I'll try it out when I leave in a few minutes.

After talking to my fiancee, I found out my cat that he put on is high flow, just because that's what the muffler shop suggested. :

Ok, sooooooo I've come to the conclusion that the trip odometer is broken. If I press both buttons to reset it, and it goes away, then flashes. I left it on that screen for 6+ miles and no change. I'm gonna have to talk to Dodge I guess. I really want that feature.

I don't think you're pushing the right buttons. There should be only 1 on the dash to the lower left of the RPM gauge.

Even though the trip odometer isn't by my gauges?

I'm pretty sure I don't have one down there. It's on that center screen on the interior roof and right above the screen it says reset then points to both buttons. I'll look again when I head to work tonight.

your actual trip odometer would be down by the gauges where it shows your total mileage... hit the button down there to switch to trip, and hold it to reset it
