Well the block your talking about is most likely the stock block that the truck came with, some kits will come with another block to add on top, which most people frown upon due to safety reasons so I would make sure that when looking at lift kits you consider this

ok. this is my thing on lifts.. hehe, here we go!

i am one of the biggest lift trucks on this forum, i have a couple few thousand dollars in lift parts, but i didnt buy a kit, cause i know that with every kit, there are at least one cheap, none adjustable part in the kit. i have a total of 10" lift.

for a 5-6 lift, skyjacker has a great long arm kit that would give you very good quality, but with price, it is one of the most expencive kits out there. comes with adgjutable long arms, new coils, new leafs, comes with everything you need.

it also depends on what you plan on running your truck in. i run mine in everything from straight mud races, to trail rides, some hill climb, so i need all suspention. you on the other hand, may be able to get away with a 3inch lift/level, and a 3inch body lift, fit 35s just fine, and still have ride quaility.

like others on here have said, that 3" block is a stock block, and honestly one of mopars worst things to do because it limits the aftermarket to their lifts. if you want to get ride of that block it isnt that hard but its alot of work.. i suggest just leave it alone. OEM designed it to be there. dont add or take that away.

another thing to think about is axles and power. you step from the stock i think 265's to a 35" mud tire, your truck is going to be alot slower then it was. untill you regear it. i suggest 4.56 like most on here will probably also say. also, the stock D44 you have up front is good axle, but the corprate 9.25 we all start with in the rear, can not handle a tire bigger then 35 with aggresive use.

hope this helps. any other questions, im here for ya. i knwo all to much about the suspentions of these rigs
