Default Doing Plenum next week

Hi all. First post but long time reader. First off, this is a great site, tons of info!! Next week I will be tackling the infamous plenum gasket. While I'm at it I will be doing the timing chain and gears, water pump, oil pan and valve cover gaskets and stat. The one question I have is I see lots of comments about a DIY step by step w/ pics for the plenum replacement but I can't find it. I'm mechanically capable of doing this but I've always been one to want as much info as possible. I thought I read somewhere that PurplDodge was going to post one. Anyway, is there a link somewhere that I'm missing?

Thanks

P.S. I have a 1999 Quad cab 5.2, 2wd. Just hit 140,000 in the beautiful NorthWest of Vancouver, Wa.

This statement is funnier than you realize, LOL!

The pics in steve's article were lost when the forum switched to vbulletin a while ago.

If you are taking the oil pan off, you might as well replace the oil pump. A new one is only about $30 more and a few more bolts to remove. A new rear main seal might not be a bad idea either.

here's a link to those 2 procedures :

Thanks for the link. I'll have to think about adding that to the list. As for the funny post, I take it that PurplDodge didn't get the write up p[osted yet

There's no difference in functionality between the fel pro gasket and the other gasket that hughes gives you in there kit.
