Default A few questions

Picked up my '96 1500 w/ 5.9 auto last week. Fixed an overheating and misfire issue and it has now passed inspection.

Now for a few Questions...

1. The truck is idling around 2,000 rpm. Is this right? If not, what should it be? How do I adjust it?

2. I have a vac leak near the cruise control vac hose. The hose in question parallels the cruise control vac hose and is about 1/8" diameter.

The hose originates on the passenger side of the engine.

3. Can anyone give me a vacuum diagram for the 2wd 5.9? I've looked all over the forum without success.

Thanks in advance!

Fix the vacuum leaks first........ If you still have a high idle, check the IAC.

Not that many lines under the hood...... (well, as opposed to say, a mid 70's carbureted smog motor..... (can you say: "Bag o' snakes." There, I knew ya could)

There is a factory service manual available for download in the FAQ section for an 01 truck, There will be some differences, mainly in the evap system, but, it should give you a good idea of what's what, and where it goes.
