Talking need lift help

i bought a 97, 2500, 5.9 with some good body damage on both front quater pannels, passenger door, and passenger bed..... but it was $1,000.
it already has a 5'' lift, but i want to run 39'' tires. i'm on a buget so was thinking 3'' body lift, coil spring spacers, and add a leafs. i can use any advice or opinins i can get. thanks

depending on what you want to do with the truck, you can fit 39s with 2 more inchs but you will not have very much flex at all.

Id have to agree with techmike on that... im on 35's and gettin 12 mpg's so there is not a lift with a budget. but if you do the body lift, you will not have anymore flex or suspenion than what is already there... just a little more room for tires. So if you're planning on off road, i wouldnt recommend the body lift to run 39's but just for pounding pavement would be fine

im running 38's on a 5 and half suspension and 3" body, i had to trim some out of the front wells to get full articulation out of those tires, but that isnt a big deal, i would throw up to 39.5 (boggers, HELL YEAH) on my truck with this setup, only thing i would advise would be building adjustable bumpstops on the front end to adjust the limit out point for articulation on the front if you dont feel like trimming lots of metal
