Coil spacers vs lift coils
First off, sorry if this has been beaten to death but for the past few hours I've tried searching and everything I read has almost no mention of lift coils. Looking at leveling my 2wd, and she's in need of new coils pretty bad. So I figure why buy new coils and a spacer when I could just get lift coils? Any downsides to this? Found these:

Also going to replace the shocks on the ol gal, and been getting mixed reviews on whether or not stock length shocks would work or if I should go with some extended ones for the front. For some reason suspension seems to be the one area I can't ever seem to wrap my head around.. TIA guys.

yes you are right, no point in buying new coils and spacers, some people dont like the look of them anyway. i think i would do what youre planning, just the 2" lift coils. you dont need new shocks, i put a 2.5" spacer on my truck with stock length shocks, took some play out so the ride it a little firmer, but i kinda like it better anyway.
With getting spacers to go on top of stock coils you will only notice a slight difference in ride quality, mostly when your offroad.....going with an aftermarket lift coil depending on if the spring is taller or has a different spring rate you most likely will notice an overall difference in ride quality(good or bad)
I got 2.5 lift coils for my truck, and standing up on the ground they were only 1in taller than my old coils, but on the truck they made a 2.5in difference, they are a little stiffer than the stock springs and I like it better.
I'm running the stock shocks, and have for around a month or so no noticeable problems, so with a 2in coil you should be fine
I would say get the 2in coils and you will be happy with your decision then later down the road when you get new tires you can get some a little bigger and gain extra traction for your truck
