Default No overdrive

Hi im new to the forum and im basically looking for sum feedback!
Im driving a 96 Dodge ram 1500 4x4 5.2L and i had to put a motor in cause the cylinders were shot in my other one,So i had that installed and it was working fine with the other motor except that motor,When i got it back the Ac wasnt working and now i have no overdrive.
I got the ac to work now but still having trouble with the overdrive.
When i shift from park to drive it wants to pull into overdrive then it feels like it slips out.Ive heard on here it could be a Selenoid but just want sum more feedback. thanks.

I don't know what you mean by it wanting to go into overdrive when you shift from P to D since overdrive wouldn't come into play that soon.
Is there enough tranny fluid or too much?
Is this when it is hot or cold?
Could be the switch since it is a vacuum switch. Check those hoses.

The fluid is where it should be,
It does it when its hot and cold.
where would the vacuum hose be?
When i got the motor in it and took for a test drive it wanted to kick into o/d but then went back out.
