Default 318 engine rebuilt

What cam would you guys recommend me for a 318? This is a daily driver and I need it to be reliable. So I’m not looking for something extreme. I picked up a nice looking block I can start rebuilding nice and slow, the 318 I currently still running decent and 220,000!!!!
Another question would a cam give me problems as far as check engine light? Throwing sensors and other things off?

Your best bet would be to go to Hughesengines.com they have a great selection of cams and if you call them they will tell you the best answer

The computer can adjust for a mild cam change, but, start getting to far from spec with duration, centerlines, and such, and it will run like crap. You best bet, is to chat with the cam manufacturer of your choice, tell 'em what you want, and what your expectations are, and what you plan to use the truck for, and they can make a good recommendation, and let you know what ELSE you will need for the cam to do its job properly.
