Default I found the leak... I think

Ok, on the rear of the compressor, there is a bolt that sticks out. The blow out is either occuring from this bolt, or one of the bolts holding the compressor housing together. Both bolts are tight as can be. Defective compressor? I would think, if the pressure was too high, it would blow a seal first. All seals good. This is a new compressor. Will determine if high and low pressures are correct. 85 degrees out. So based on what Ive read, I should have 45 low/250 high or close to it?

i'm not an expert, but at 85 degrees i think your low side pressure should be more like 25-35. then at 100 degrees, it'll climb to something like 40-45.

Ok...

The low side was 50+ so I bled it out. Now sitting at 40-45. High side however, is only around 150, not 225-250 as required. Based on this, the brand new compressor isnt working like it should. Does this sound right?

this goes beyond my limited knowledge. i don't know what causes your pressures to be so close.

At 90 degrees ambient, low side pressure should be around 45 to 50 with the compressor running.

If you are blowing stuff out of a bolt hole, need to know which one, does it hold any lines on? Can you show us a pic?

Default Image of the bolts

The one referenced in the pic is where it blows from (not sure which one), only when I rev the engine. Once I bled the system, I can no longer make it happen. However, the High side has low pressure. The low side has normal pressure.

And that's a new compressor? I suspect you got a bad one, or, it was overcharged, and it killed it.

Yes, it was a new compressor. I had pepboy's charge it. I guess at this point, I will replace it. As far as me getting PepBoys to cover it? Good luck with that.
