aaaa ok gotcha. Yeah im just starting to look into the internals. I know i want to do a 408 but not sure how i want to do it yet.

i hear ya on the SCT from HEMIFEVER... the 93 tune on a bone stock motor definatly wakes it up. It shifts so much better now too.

for the price of the 408 you might be able to find a better bigger motor that you can buld up over time, maybe start with a 440 block and buy parts for while and start putting it together.

I thought about the 408 awhile back as well but from what ive seen is that it takes more than just the 408, new head are 1000 or so then new intake maniolf and new exhaust to open it up and it needs more airflow.

So your looking at 4000 or so once you get machine work done and the needed upgrades when you can get a old 440 for a grand and rebuild for 1500 if you can keep stock pistons and rods and stuff

Well i have always wanted a 408. So it will get built just not sure how beefy. I already have the intake i need and heads im willing to pay for. But a 440 is also something i have thought about but what trans would you use? and will it bolt in or does it take a bit of work?

i woulnt do a 440 its going to be alot cheap to just build the 360 !
