Default Center console stuck up, seriously stuck

The title is pretty self explanatory, my center console is stuck up and i cant find any way to get it down. Ive gone as far as pushing it with my feet from the back seat, and nothing, is there a release on it somewhere that im overlooking??

Push the console toward the rear of the truck and bring it forward slowly. If I bring mine forward with any speed the safety catches and you cannot budge it!

still stuck, it was fine until my truck got hit. Im guessing its just a dodge thing, go figure my seats dont lock and the center console does. Well at least my dash is in one piece.

Exactly. While in the driver seat, pull it toward you, and while still applying the pressure, push it down. Should work.

Just build a new fully functional center console that bolts down in the same spots, if you can't get yours to close. Then you can get creative as you want adding cup holders, guages, aux switches, ect...Would be a fun and functional project....I will be building a custom console for Betty by the end of the year!

My seat actually has a strap that you pull. It's located behind and between the console and driver seat. Pull the strap and it should come down.
