I want to get this to "install" a tranny temp gauge:

It is meant for diesels, so i don't know if our gassers have the same size lines

figures. i knew that a part from a website named "Dieselmanor" would be a bit off.

Too bad. It would have been good not to have to train my tranny fluid that I spent about 65 dollars to fill :P JUST to put in a gauge.

Well, i will just put it in the tranny pan.

I was thinking the same thing. But my luck, a screw will fall in there without me knowing. I guess i can fix a wire mesh screen in the funnel.
OR
do it really fast and top off what comes out.

That could always work, just cover the bung with your finger and work fast.

I'd rather have the temperature gauge in the pan, anyways. For the fluid, don't waste it. Drain it into a clean tub/bucket and use some type of filter to put it back in.

3/8" lines for transmission. Make sure to buy transmission line instead of heater hose. Also use lots of hose clamps if you're deleting the checkvalve.

I use one of these when I drain the tranny.

Fish the hose down the dipstick tube and pump the trans fluid out into a clean container. Works great for when you need to drop the pan (and not want to spill the fluid everywhere) and for times like this when you want to save and reuse the fluid. It says special order a lot but any auto parts store has it, even walmart.

That temp adapter is kinda cool, but I agree with Jr. I would rather have it in the pan anyways.
