Power steering pulley

Default Power steering pulley

I'm trying to install my power steering pulley on my 01 1500. I've never put one of these on before.

I bought the OEM Pulley puller installation kit but it doesn't really give clear instructions.

This is the kit I bought.

Could anyone please tell me which one of those pieces work, if any? I've tried them but the only one that seems to fit is the shortest one but I can't get it to thread.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, the pulley is on but I'm assuming it's not in all the way because my belt keeps slipping off and visually I can see it doesn't line up with the other pulley.

The tool second from the left is the one you want. It threads into the shaft on the pump, and then the collar is used to press the pulley onto the shaft.

So i guess i need to remove the fan shroud to make it fit correct?

Might have to. Whatever needs to move to get room to work in there.

No, you don't.

Remove the four bracket bolts and two hoses. Pull the old pulley off, unbolt the PS pump from bracket, bolt the new one in the bracket. Press the pulley on. Rebolt back up. You can have it done in under an hour taking your time.
