How do I check if my alternator is working properly?

While running pull the neg cable off the battery. If the car dies the alt isn't working. If it stays running it's working fine.

What issues are you having?

Not sure pulling a battery cable is a good plan on these trucks......

Best test is to take it up the the local parts store, and have them put a load tester on it. Quick, painless, easy, cheap. And, no danger of pissing off electrical parts.

Take a voltmeter and measure across your battery while the car is running...you should see around 13.5 to 14.5 volts...

That worked on the older Mopars but I wouldn't do it on these computer controlled systems.
It could get very expensive.
