fuel pump...

Default fuel pump...

Well im pretty sure its my fuel pump as its whining pretty loud at idle and makes one hell of a noise when i start it first thing in the am... I want to check fuel pressure tmrw but i do not see a test port, so how do i check my psi? any good brands for a fuel pump?

My 96 has a schrader valve on the left fuel rail.

I meant the left side of the truck which to me is drivers side.

On the metal fuel rails, (which the 96 should have?) test port is on the drivers side, toward the back. The plastic rails dont have one, so, if it's plastic, you will have to pick up some assorted plumbing parts, and make an adapter that goes between the line, and the rail, with the valve on it.

That said, if you can hear the pump at idle, chances are good it is going belly up.

im 99% sure i have metal rails... but no test port?
