i just hooked up an amp a few days ago. all i did is run the remote wire to the fuse for the radio on the panel on the side of the door. Make sure when you put it in that the power light isnt light up or you light your truck on fire or have a dead battery. let me know what kind of system you have and maybe i can help you alittle more.

The dash pops right off, just give it a little pull. Now as far as the stock cd player having a remote wire, I'm not sure. If you have the Infinity system I think it must have one. You really should just pop for a new cd player anyway. The stock deck sounds like garbage, Infinity system or not. A new deck is real easy to install and sounds so much better. But thats JMO.

go to best buy or circuit city and buy a wiring converter. the wires will be color coded to the aftermarket radio and then you just plug it into the oem wiring from the truck. it saves tons of time and it it only costs about $15. and there will be a wire labeled for your remote wire.......no need to run it to the fuse panel and risk a fire........ive seen it happen.
