Cylinder Misfire before it get warmed up
another thing i noticed, once in a while when im driving at highway speeds in O/D it will jerk and buck and you can see the rpms flutter up and down really fast. and sometimes when i driving the check engine light will start flashing and there doesnt seem to be anything wrong, then if i let off the gas for long enough the light turns off...
idk if that helps narrow things down...?
alright i aint that stupid, lol

Check engine light flashing means a misfire. I doubt it is a clogged cat, but it could either be the camshaft sensor or even a clogged injector. The CKP can be a booger and cause all kinds of mayhem. I would recommend removal and inspection for cracks or breaks. Clean all of the connections really well and put some di-electric grease on the pigtail.
Good point about the transmission harness and the TPS; however, since it seems to always correlate to Cyl #4 that leads me to suspect the cam sensor. He may have more than one issue at hand.
I agree Bugs. One more thing though, if the light is flashing I believe that is a multiple misfire, (or other problem) not just one cylinder. Bottom line is he needs to check the codes again.
will it still throw codes if my check engine light is not on, because it usually goes off if i drive a while or if i turn it off/on... the last time i had the codes read(a few months ago) it said cylinder 4 misfire and something about a bank running to rich? idk i cant remember but ill go get em checked again...
It could be the unspeakable.
A crank in the cylinder head seats on the #4 may misfire on a cold engine and as it heats up the metal expands and seals the crack. Then when you jump on it, the crack can't hold back the higher pressure and it Misfires again.
That damn flashing misfire is a hard one to track down.
Bank rich probably means the O2 sensor is seeing too much unburnt fuel, which is typical for a misfire as well.

But it could also be the TPS or the wires in the trans pan, can't find the write up about the trans wire harness.
