Default New Wheels

So after much though and consideration, I did it. I bought a 1999 Ram 2500 CTD. It came with 151,000 mi but from what I understand, it was primarily used by the owners wife to tow a gooseneck horse trailer. Minus the drivers side rocker panel, the body is in great condition. Clean frame, new tires, fiberglass tonneau cover, and a very loud 3" cat-back exhaust with a 4" chrome tip.

I have already ordered the replacement rocker panel from LMC and the 3rd gen emblems to match the ones on the tailgate already. Interior is flawless as well. The only blemish left over is a couple holes from a CB which the antenna is still intact with the cable.

After spending 4 years in school working on marine diesels, I decided that, while not practical for the most part, I just plain wanted this truck. I spent 9 weeks on a work barge in the Gulf and was home one day before I decided to make the purchase. A nice welcome home/graduation present

...As soon as the internet starts cooperating, you will have pictures for your viewing pleasure.

nice. what did it cost ya? get you a tuner and you will see a hugh difference in the power. a tuner really awakens a diesel.

I got it for $8500. It needs a rocker pannel and a u joint so I talked him down from the asking price.

I would like to get a tuners, do you recommend a certain one?

sounds like you got a pretty good deal. diesels really hold there value.plus 150k on a cummins is nothing.

i am not real up on the diesel tuners. go over to the diesel forums and they will lead you down the right path.

with the ctd i would go with a egde attitude. or smarty. those are the two most used tuners for a cummins with the most power outcome. i my self like the edge though cause it has a pillar with a moniter showing you all your temps, and boost
