Default Exhaust and Headers (Advice Please)

Well now that my transmission is done I have to fix my exhaust that is beaten all to rat snot after my last woods run. I am now running true duals with no CAT and magnaflows piped with 2 1/2" from the stock manifolds. The hangers and welds are now all broke from the thrashing it took a couple weeks ago so I am gonna replace it . I have a brand new set of Pacesetter long-tubes in the garage that I will be installing very soon and was wondering where to go from there. I no longer want all that extra pipe running to the rear of the truck as it will just take another beating. I was thinking of just bolting up my magna flows and dumping them down behind the passenger side of the cab. The pacesetter collectors are 3" and the magnaflows are 2 1/2" inlet and 2 1/2" outlet.....would this work fine or should I go 3 in 3 out? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Guys...look forward to your imput .

agreed. you need to keep your scavaging to keep you torque. or back pressure as everyone likes to call it.

1 3/4" primaries might be too big themselves for a 318. Def don't go very much bigger than 2 1/2" if you are running true duals unless you've stroked it or are running boost.

So you are saying the manifolds are sufficient ?

Kinda depends on where your trying to go with your setup. Alot of the calculators I used indicate 1 3/4" pimaries and 3" secondaries are too big to be a good stockish engine truck application upgrade, even with my 360. I really wanted long tubes for the broad power band effect they are rumored to provide when properly applied but I just don't have enough mods planned to use those Pacesetters to good effect per my calculations. I'm sure they are perfect for some of these high throughput race motors that dudes on here are running but I am led to believe there are better choices for the milder combos. Then again, long tubes get all the chicks.

Edit: oh yeah. I noticed a modest performance improvement with the Edy's I'm running over stock manifolds. They also sound cooler per my ears.
