Every time i brake from speeds of over 40, somewhat quickly, my check gauges lamp comes on and my oil pressure drops to 0. Usually its so fast I don't even see it, and by the time I stop and continue driving it returns to normal. Any ideas?

 

My friend had a truck that was doing the same thing... Ended up just being REALLY low on oil so I am not sure of what else could cause this.

 

Mine did that when it got low on oil, before I fixed my plenum. Some other guys had an issue with the sensor in the oil pan. Go check your oil, if its good then your sensor is probably bad, or clogged.

 

What kind of sensor is in the oil pan?

 

None. The oil pressure sender is on the driver's side of the engine block, in the back behind the intake.

Replace your PCV valve and give it a oil change. Also check your breather line to the intake air hat.
