Default Brake question

Ok, searched but couldn't find what I need. Front brakes have been covered over and over again... for '98 down. I have an '01 1500 4x4. I haven't found anything for an '01. Looking to see if there is a "factory" upgrade for this. I.E.-2500 calipers. I know I have dual piston calipers already. I have heard that 2500 pads will fit 1500 calipers to give better braking. I don't know. Also, while on the subject, I found 1 post stating '01 1500's have the same rear wheel cylinder as the 3500's. Is this true? It doesn't seem right to me.
