I prefer solid glass just because I've never found a slider in a club/quad cab all that useful. If you decide to stay with the slider, consider putting on a headache rack that will keep the thieves from climbing in through the slider.

I have a single slider in my truck, and use it maybe once or twice a month and can reach it and open while driving, easier to close, it takes a little manuvering but I do this with the seatbelt on too

If I bought a new glass I would try and stay with what I have if the price difference was $100 or so I think I might just get the single glass, because like stated I only use it once or twice a month.

I would not get the double slider as they seem to have more leakage problems and what not, plus at about 180 and 5'10" I can fit through my window

I've got a single slider as well and would buy one again if I had to. They're great.

I discovered why I like sliders this summer when the camper was on there. You can send the kid through there while your driving to grab a pop outa the fridge.

I've been thinking about the same thing as you redneck ram, but the opposite.... I have a solid window now, but my neighbour has a junk regular cab 2nd gen with a slider.... I've been contemplating switching them but was gonna get opinions here too lol

I have the double slider that came from the factory when I bought the truck. I have never had any leakage issues at all. I can easily reach to open or close it from the front as well. In my opinion its nice when you are cruising at highway speeds to have it open and the back popouts open too. Keeps the truck cool yet no wind noise plus my Akita loves to stick his head out when we are driving!!! LOL

Mine came with it from the factory but most other 2nd gens I have seen have the double, also some came with a pretty weak latch and a upgrade is almost a necessity if you live in an area were things might disapear
