I'm trying to order the part from RockSolid but the site bombs out. I sure hope this part is still available! It looks like just the ticket.

Site was down last night but up this morning so I ordered one of the clunk fix bushings. I'm really looking forward to the installation and hopefully an end to this really annoying issue.

Do yourself a favor and remove the steering column. It only takes 15 minutes extra time, but well worth it. I've done it both ways, and trying to do it right so the bushing is smooth is way easier with it out.

Sounds like good advice. I'll take it. I'll post how it goes.

One more thing I forgot about. Make sure the shift lever operates easily also. I didn't, and had to remove the column again to adjust the bushing so the lever was not binding .

I'm OK on this one. I have a floor shifter (5 speed manual).
